Check In & Check Out:
Check In is at Sunday 4pm & check out is at Sunday 10am the following week.  Please respect the next scheduled guest by being prompt when departing in order for the housekeeping to come inside and start cleaning for the next guest. 

Security Deposit:
A $500 security deposit is required. Deposit is fully refunded if the house is left in the same condition as when you check-in and "broom swept" clean.

Confirmation of Reservation:
After making a reservation, you will receive a rental statement by e-mail, fax or mail. This statement will supply your name, your rental fees and directions to the Anchors Hold.

Payment Policy:
Initial Payment – One half (1/2) the base rent must be paid upon registration. Payment methods include credit card (only via PayPal ; no E-Checks), cashier's check, money order or personal check. Upon receipt of the initial payment, you will receive a lease electronically or by mail. Reservations that are not confirmed by a signed lease within 5 working days will be subject to cancellation.  Please call us at 1-202-360-8062 or 301-580-1917 or email us at rentals@obxanchorshold.com in case of initial payment delay or if you have any questions concerning payment methods and procedures.
PayPal is a secure and easy method for internet transfer of payments. You can sign up with PayPal through the folloing link: http://www.paypal.com/. The Anchors Hold does not collect any credit card information from renters. We do not accept Paypal E-Checks.
Taxes – State and County Taxes apply to all rents, fees and services.  Tax rates are subject to change.
Balance Rent – The unpaid balance of the base rent (including taxes and security deposit) is due 30 days prior to check-in. Payment methods include credit card via PayPal, cashier's check, money order or personal check. However, if you desire to rent within 30 days prior to check-in, full payment is due upon booking and personal checks will not be accepted.
Returned Checks – There is a $20 charge for returned personal checks. 

Listing & Pricing:
We have made every effort to ensure that all information on The Anchors Hold website is correct. Rates do not include taxes or security deposit.

Acts of God/Construction Noise
The Anchors Hold shall not be liable for events beyond their control which may interfere with guest occupancy, including but not limited to Acts of God, acts of governmental agencies, fire, strikes, war, inclement weather and construction noise from nearby sites. As of the publishing of this Policy, no construction projects are taking place around the Anchors Hold. No discounts or refunds.

Telephone Service:
Local phone service is available. Long distance calls are blocked. Any long distance calls charged will be billed to the name listed in the rental agreement..

Linen Service:
Linens are provided as a standard amenity and include bedsheets and bath towels.

Cancellation Policy:
In the event you cancel your reservation, you will receive  full refund  if the premises are re-rented. However you can receive a partial refund under the following conditions: (1) If you cancel before 60 dayse prior to your scheduled arrival, you will receive 50% refund of your initial deposit. (2) If you cancel 45 and 60 days prior to your scheduled arrival, you will receive 25% refund of your initial deposit.
